Common questions.

What's in Suyana suya spice?
Roasted peanut, dried chili, ginger, cloves, cumin, salt, and selected herbs. No fillers. No preservatives. No sugar.
How spicy is it?
Our standard blend lands in the medium range, about as hot as a well-built jerk seasoning. We're launching mild and hot variants soon for people on either end of the heat spectrum.
Is it gluten-free? Vegan?
Yes to both. The only allergen of note is peanut, which is a core ingredient and clearly marked on the front of the pouch.
How should I store it?
Sealed, in a cool dry cupboard. 6 months sealed, about 3 months once opened. The flavour stays bright for longer if you keep it out of direct sunlight.
Where do you ship?
Worldwide. US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia and most African markets ship in 2–3 business days. Other destinations may take 5–10 days depending on customs.
How much does shipping cost?
Flat-rate by region. Free shipping in the US over $40, in the UK over £30. Wholesale and subscription orders get separate rates. See your account or wholesale page.
What if I don't like it?
30-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. Email support@suyanaspice.com with your order number and we'll refund you. Keep the spice. Share it with a friend.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Any time, from your account. Pause, skip, or cancel. No commitment, no fees. Changes take effect from your next billing cycle.
What does it go with?
Anything you'd grill, roast, or air-fry. Beef and chicken are the classics. Lamb, fish, prawns, vegetables, fries, tofu, and even popcorn all take the blend well.
Do I marinate or sprinkle?
Both work. Traditional yaji is dusted on grilled meat right after cooking. For a deeper flavour, mix a tablespoon with a little oil and rub into your protein 30 minutes before grilling.
Can I cook with it without a grill?
Absolutely. It works in an oven (400°F / 200°C), an air-fryer, a cast-iron pan, even a microwave. Our recipes section has examples for each.
